D’Overkant

Ok, this is a peculiar one. We’ve been visiting this shop for years, and all that time the inventory barely changed. They sold superhero toys, cartoon pvc’s, Monopoly games of various franchises, action figures, and (and this is really unique) Warhammer from the early nineties. Plus, it was one of the few shops in the world that still sold video cassettes. It used to be the sister company of Zinnebeeld, the infamous comic shop at the other side of the street (literally, it was owned by the sister of the notoriously grumpy owner of Zinnebeeld). Apparently, Zinnebeeld is gone now, and some of its comics have been shipped to D’Overkant. We haven’t been to Groningen since, so we don’t know how many comics have been moved, and wether the scary owner of Zinnebeeld now works at D’Overkant. You know what, give it a try. You’re probably not going to find the item you’re looking for, but chances are you’ll return with one heck of a story.
